Overview and Gameplay
Disney’s Treasure Planet follows Jim Hawkins as he searches for Captain Flint’s treasure while pirates pursue his crew. Isometric stages contain enemies, switches, doors, traps, movable objects, and environmental puzzles. Jim gains new Morph abilities that reveal routes, extend jumps, move heavy blocks, break barriers, cool hot surfaces, and light dark passages. Solar Surfer sequences focus on steering through hazards, collecting treasure, and firing the vehicle’s cannon. Progress continues through level passwords.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves Jim, aims actions, navigates menus, and steers the Solar Surfer. A jumps, confirms selections, and advances dialogue, while B attacks or fires the Surfer cannon. Holding L with A or B cycles through available Morph abilities, and R activates the selected power. Gold coins and gemstones contribute toward extra lives, hearts restore health, and Golden Jim idols grant another life. Losing all hearts costs one life. Select opens the area map, and Start pauses play.
