Overview and Gameplay
This Game Boy Advance compilation contains the complete GBA versions of Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2. The first campaign follows Peter Parker as he pursues the Green Goblin through side-scrolling stages built around combat, rescues, timed objectives, boss fights, and occasional 3D web-swinging bonus sequences.
Spider-Man 2 follows the conflict with Doctor Octopus. Its story missions alternate with 3D city hubs where Spider-Man can investigate optional crimes, collect tokens, and locate the next objective. Experience earned from enemies and completed tasks purchases new attacks, stronger web techniques, improved movement, extra health, and larger web-fluid capacity.
Controls And Mechanics
Spider-Man can run, jump, crawl on walls and ceilings, swing from webs, punch enemies, and use directional web movement. Limited Web-Ups in the first game provide attacks and temporary defensive effects. Health, lives, score items, Gold Spiders, keys, and photograph prompts support stage progression.
The second game adds Web Balls, Web Zips, object throwing, longer attack combinations, and upgrade purchases. Photographs unlock gallery images, while Spider Tokens and optional incidents reward exploration between story missions.
Version Notes
This European cartridge presents both games through a selection menu. Spider-Man supports English, French, and German, while Spider-Man 2 also includes Spanish and Italian.
