Overview and Gameplay
Ultimate Spider-Man follows Spider-Man and Venom through a comic-book story set after Venom’s apparent destruction. The campaign contains 21 chapters arranged as seven issues, with fixed character changes between the two leads.
Objectives include rescuing civilians, locating targets, disarming bombs, surviving timed situations, and defeating bosses. Hidden upgrades expand Spider-Man’s web-fluid capacity, unlock moves, and improve Venom’s health-related abilities.
Controls And Mechanics
Spider-Man can run, jump, crawl across walls and ceilings, swing from webs, zip toward surfaces, and attack with punches and kicks. Web movement and binding attacks consume a limited web-fluid meter that blue pickups restore. Health pickups recover damage.
Venom uses powerful melee and tendril attacks, high jumps, and tendril zips. His health drains continuously, so he must weaken enemies and feed on them to recover. Falling, losing all health, or failing a timed objective ends the attempt.
Version Notes
The Game Boy Advance edition is a dedicated 2D side-scrolling adaptation with handheld-specific stages, resources, upgrades, and comic-panel storytelling.
