Overview and Gameplay
Pac-Man Collection presents four games from a direct menu: Pac-Man Arrangement, Pac-Man, Pac-Attack, and Pac-Mania. Each title keeps separate progression, settings, and scoring.
Pac-Man Arrangement expands maze clearing with dash arrows, warp gates, power-ups, larger ghosts, and a final boss. Pac-Man offers the original dot-clearing rules in full-screen or scrolling display modes. Pac-Attack uses falling clusters of blocks, ghosts, and Pac-Man pieces across Normal Mode, 100 Puzzle stages, and Appendix Puzzle Mode. Pac-Mania uses isometric mazes where Pac-Man can jump over hazards.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves Pac-Man, navigates menus, and positions falling clusters. A confirms choices, rotates Pac-Attack pieces clockwise, and jumps in Pac-Mania; B rotates counterclockwise, returns from menus, and also jumps in Pac-Mania. L and R inspect upper or lower maze areas and choose Pac-Man’s facing direction in Pac-Attack puzzles. START pauses play.
- Power Pellets make ghosts vulnerable and increase rewards for consecutive captures.
- Pac-Attack clears completed block lines and uses Pac-Man pieces to remove connected ghosts.
- Fruit, fairies, extra-life thresholds, difficulty settings, and game-length options vary by title.
Version Notes
This collection includes the first home conversion of Pac-Man Arrangement. Its version of Pac-Man also provides full-screen and vertically scrolling display choices for handheld play.
