Overview and Gameplay
Game & Watch Gallery 4 collects 20 score-based games built around short timing, movement, and survival challenges. Eleven main titles include Classic versions based on the original LCD games and Modern versions featuring Mario characters, color graphics, new hazards, bonuses, and revised stages.
Six games are available at the start, including Fire, Boxing, Rain Shower, Mario’s Cement Factory, Donkey Kong Jr., and Donkey Kong 3. High scores award stars that unlock five additional main games, nine Classic-only Museum games, historical material, and other Gallery Corner content. Most games offer Easy and Hard settings.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves characters, changes positions, selects menu options, or aims according to the chosen game. A and B perform game-specific actions such as jumping, moving between sides, turning, or confirming selections. Start pauses play.
Each activity repeats a compact task while its speed and difficulty increase. Missing characters, colliding with hazards, or failing an assigned action records a miss. Some Modern games include hearts that remove a recorded miss.
Most score records award one star for every 200 points, up to five stars per game, version, and difficulty setting. Boxing uses knockout milestones. Boxing and Donkey Kong 3 support simultaneous two-player competition through a Single-Pak Game Link Cable connection.
