Overview and Gameplay
Spider-Man: Battle for New York follows Spider-Man as he tries to stop Norman Osborn from spreading the Oz formula through New York. The campaign alternates between Spider-Man and the Green Goblin across 32 missions. Objectives include rescuing civilians, reaching exits, activating machinery, destroying marked targets, defeating enemy groups, and fighting bosses.
Cleared missions become available through Mission Selection. Stat points awarded after key missions improve health, attack power, web capacity, capture duration, fireball damage, or other character-specific abilities.
Controls And Mechanics
Spider-Man runs, crouches, jumps, climbs surfaces, swings on webs, performs web zips, and attacks with punches, kicks, web shots, and special moves. Green Goblin uses melee attacks, wall jumps, selectable fireballs, a ground-pound shockwave, and a protective fire shield.
Spider-Man manages health and web fluid, while Green Goblin uses health and an Oz meter. Hearts restore health, and character-specific pickups refill web fluid or Oz. An objective marker points toward required targets.
