Overview and Gameplay
Captain Jack Sparrow pursues Barbossa after the Black Pearl is seized and Jack is abandoned on an island. The campaign advances through numbered land missions and overhead sea battles, with passwords recording reached stages.
Land levels focus on exploration, switches, jumping, climbing, treasure collection, and combat against pirates, soldiers, animals, and cursed enemies. Sea stages require steering a ship, managing ammunition, and sinking hostile vessels with port and starboard cannons. Treasure chests improve Jack’s weapons or ship, while collected valuables raise the treasure total.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves Jack, steers the ship, and navigates inventory. A handles interaction, quick sword attacks, pistol fire, item use, and forward movement at sea. B jumps, climbs, performs powerful sword attacks, or changes cannon ammunition. L sheathes the sword or fires the port cannon, while R parries or fires the starboard cannon.
Potions restore health, bullets supply the pistol, golden Jack statues grant extra lives, and floating barrels can contain health, gold, ammunition, or cannon upgrades. Losing all lives ends the current run.
