Overview and Gameplay
Mr. D steals the elemental powers that sustain Firefly Swamp, sending Frogger through five worlds to recover them and reach the Temple of the Frog. Each world contains three stages. The first two stages require Frogger to collect three and then five Elemental Icons, while the third ends with a boss battle. Fifty coins are needed to unlock the final world, and completed stages can be revisited from the overhead map.
Controls And Mechanics
Frogger moves by hopping one space at a time across paths filled with enemies, pits, water, moving platforms, and timed hazards. The A button performs jumps and glides over narrow gaps or obstacles, while the B button uses Frogger’s tongue to collect nearby items such as butterflies. Butterflies grant extra lives, information markers provide hints, and checkpoints determine where Frogger resumes after losing a life. The game tracks lives, coins, and Elemental Icons instead of using a traditional score.
