Overview and Gameplay

Yggdra Union: We’ll Never Fight Alone follows Princess Yggdra after the Bronquian Empire conquers Fantasinia. Carrying the holy sword Gran Centurio, she joins thief leader Milanor and gathers allies to reclaim the kingdom across a linear series of grid-based battlefields.

Each turn begins by choosing a Tactics Card whose movement value is shared among the army. Positioning units in linked formations creates a Union, allowing several allies to fight a sequence of clashes. Victories grant experience, strengthen cards, yield items, and award an MVP bonus. Equipment modifies statistics and remains attached for a limited number of battlefields.

Controls And Mechanics

The directional pad moves the cursor and units, then changes between passive, neutral, and aggressive tactics during combat. A confirms commands and activates A-type skills; B cancels, displays status, and charges B-type skills. Start switches to Attack Mode and pauses battles.

Morale functions as health. Losing clashes reduces it according to card power, surviving troops, and combat advantages, and a unit leaves the map at zero. Each battlefield uses a limited card hand, so exhausting every card before meeting the objective causes defeat. Failed maps can be retried with retained experience and reduced enemy abilities.

Version Notes

The North American release presents the script and interface in English and uses a less-obscured version of one optional bath-scene illustration.
