Overview and Gameplay
On a home track field powered by a floor mat controller, athletes sprint, leap, and clear hurdles in fast-paced athletic events built around timing and physical movement. Players compete across multiple disciplines such as short-distance sprinting, long jump, triple jump, and hurdle racing, with each event testing rhythm and precision rather than traditional button inputs.
The main structure includes solo tournament progression against computer opponents as well as competitive head-to-head races. Events award performance scores or determine winners based on distance and finish time, with overall ranking modes combining multiple disciplines into a full competition.
Controls And Mechanics
- Movement is driven through directional input combined with mat-based running simulation
- Jump actions are triggered during specific timing windows in jumps and hurdle events
- Races rely on maintaining rhythm and speed while avoiding false starts and obstacles
- Two-player races allow side-by-side competition in sprint and hurdle events
- Multi-event modes combine results into overall tournament scoring
