Overview and Gameplay
6-Pak gathers six early Sega favorites on one cartridge: Columns, Golden Axe, The Revenge of Shinobi, Sonic the Hedgehog, Streets of Rage, and Super Hang-On. The selection spans jewel-matching puzzles, fantasy and urban brawling, ninja action, high-speed platforming, and motorcycle racing. Each title keeps its own stages, scoring, difficulty, and progression systems.
Controls And Mechanics
- The directional pad handles movement, steering, or falling jewel placement according to the selected game.
- A, B, and C perform game-specific actions such as attacking, jumping, using magic, braking, accelerating, or activating turbo.
- Columns and Golden Axe include competitive two-player play.
- Golden Axe and Streets of Rage support simultaneous two-player co-op.
- The Revenge of Shinobi, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Super Hang-On are single-player games.
Version Notes
This USA compilation contains the Rev. 03 build of The Revenge of Shinobi, including revised enemy and boss imagery. Its Streets of Rage build also has minor audio differences, while Sonic the Hedgehog uses the North American Genesis version.
