Overview and Gameplay
A secret agent fish is sent on a mission to disrupt environmental sabotage beneath the ocean surface. James Pond moves through themed underwater stages where progress depends on completing objectives rather than simply reaching an exit. Each level blends exploration, item collection, and task completion as the player works through compact, mission-driven environments.
The gameplay emphasizes route discovery and problem solving inside platforming layouts, with enemies and hazards blocking progress until required objectives are completed. The Genesis version presents the first entry in the series, establishing its mix of action platforming and structured mission goals.
