Overview and Gameplay
Falling blocks, trapped ghosts, and Pac-Man share the same playfield in this puzzle spin-off based on Namco’s Cosmo Gang the Puzzle. Players complete horizontal rows of blocks while arranging ghost-filled paths for Pac-Man to clear.
Normal Mode focuses on score and rising speed, while Puzzle Mode presents 100 fixed stages with limited Pac-Man pieces. Filling the Fairy Meter produces a fairy that removes ghosts from several rows and can trigger useful chain reactions.
Controls And Mechanics
- Move and accelerate each falling cluster with the directional controls.
- Rotate clusters to build complete rows and prepare routes through groups of ghosts.
- Pac-Man travels through available paths, eating ghosts until blocked.
- Two-player Versus Mode uses simultaneous separate playfields, with strong clears sending interference to the opponent.
Version Notes
The North American Genesis release is titled Pac-Attack. The European Mega Drive version was released as Pac-Panic.
