Overview and Gameplay
A crime syndicate has taken control of a modern city, pushing former police officers into a street-level fight to restore order. Streets of Rage focuses on side scrolling combat through urban stages filled with enemy waves and boss encounters.
Players move through linear stages, clearing groups of enemies using punches, kicks, and jump attacks while collecting weapons like pipes and knives. Progression is stage based, ending each area with a boss fight.
