Overview and Gameplay
Frank Castle carves through Kingpin’s criminal empire in a gritty side-scrolling action experience that blends close combat with ranged weapon play. Based on Marvel’s vigilante anti-hero, the game follows a linear progression of urban battlegrounds filled with armed enemies, environmental hazards, and stage bosses tied to organized crime networks. Each level pushes players forward through waves of opponents, alternating between hand-to-hand encounters and firearm-driven combat.
The gameplay focuses on advancing through stages, clearing enemy groups, and surviving increasingly aggressive resistance. Weapons appear throughout levels, shifting the pace between melee brawling and short bursts of ranged attacks. Boss encounters cap each stage and require careful timing and positioning.
Controls And Mechanics
- Movement through multi-directional stage navigation
- Melee combat for close-range attacks and combos
- Firearm use with limited pickups across stages
- Cooperative play allows two characters to progress through levels together
- Enemy waves escalate in density and aggression as stages progress
Combat rhythm shifts constantly between melee pressure and ranged control, with weapons acting as temporary advantages rather than permanent loadouts.
