Overview and Gameplay
The Mad Gear Gang returns, kidnapping Guy’s master Genryusai and his daughter Rena. With Cody and Jessica away, Mike Haggar teams with Maki and Carlos Miyamoto for a globe-spanning street fight.
Final Fight 2 is a SNES-original sequel rather than an arcade port. Players choose one of three fighters, move through side-scrolling stages, beat down gangs, pick up weapons, restore health with food, collect bonus items, and face bosses across international locations.
Controls And Mechanics
- Combat uses movement, punches, jumps, grabs, throws, weapons, and character-specific special moves.
- Haggar is powerful, Maki is fast and agile, and Carlos is a balanced fighter with sword-based attacks.
- Super moves combine attack and jump and cost vitality when used.
- Two players can fight together in simultaneous co-op, with a second player able to join during play.
Version Notes
This is the European SNES release of Final Fight 2. Unlike the first SNES Final Fight, this sequel includes simultaneous two-player cooperative play.
