Overview and Gameplay
Guy steps into Metro City’s gang war while Cody is away, joining mayor Mike Haggar after the Mad Gear Gang kidnaps Jessica. Final Fight Guy is a revised Super Famicom version of Capcom’s street-brawling Final Fight.
Players choose Haggar or Guy, move through side-scrolling stages, punch enemies, grab and throw opponents, break objects, pick up weapons, collect food, and fight bosses. Guy replaces Cody in this version, giving the game a faster playable fighter with ninja-style movement.
Controls And Mechanics
- Combat uses movement, punches, jumping attacks, grabs, throws, picked-up weapons, and health-draining special moves.
- Guy can use fast attacks and wall-jump movement, while Haggar relies on powerful wrestling throws.
- Food restores health, and bonus items add points during stage progression.
- This version is single-player only and does not restore arcade co-op.
Version Notes
This is the Japanese Super Famicom release of Final Fight Guy. It replaces Cody with Guy, adds smaller item and difficulty changes, but still omits two-player co-op and the Industrial Area stage.
