Overview and Gameplay
Metro City mayor Mike Haggar and street fighter Cody take on the Mad Gear Gang after Jessica is kidnapped. Final Fight brings Capcom’s arcade beat ’em up to SNES with side-scrolling street brawls, weapons, food pickups, and boss fights.
Players move through urban stages, punch enemies, grab and throw opponents, break objects, collect score items, restore health with food, and fight gang leaders. The SNES port is a recognizable early home version of the arcade hit, though it is a reduced conversion.
Controls And Mechanics
- Basic play centers on movement, punching, jumping, grabs, throws, and picked-up weapons.
- Weapons include knives, pipes, and swords, while food restores health.
- Haggar and Cody have different throws and special attacks, including strength-draining emergency moves.
- This SNES version is single-player only, with no co-op mode.
Version Notes
This is the European SNES release. Compared with the arcade original, the SNES version removes Guy as a playable fighter, omits the Industrial Area stage, and has no two-player co-op.
