Overview and Gameplay
Albert Grabner is pulled into a coup in Bergen, where wanzer warfare and global power struggles turn a bodyguard mission into a wider conflict. Front Mission: Gun Hazard shifts the series from grid tactics to real-time side-scrolling action RPG combat.
Players pilot a customizable wanzer through mission maps, destroy enemy machines, earn money and experience, upgrade equipment, and advance through story operations. Albert can also leave the wanzer on foot to reach tighter spaces and use smaller weapons.
Controls And Mechanics
- Wanzer combat uses movement, aiming, jumping, hovering, shields, primary weapons, and switchable secondary weapons.
- Equipment includes wanzers, vernier units, shields, dash systems, firearms, special weapons, repair kits, pilot gear, and support options.
- Missions include escort, infiltration, rescue, base assaults, enemy elimination, and boss battles.
- Two-player support exists through partner or support-unit control rather than a second full main campaign hero.
Version Notes
This is the Japanese Super Famicom release with the Aeon Genesis English translation patch version 1.01. It is not the tactical RPG Front Mission 2.
