Overview and Gameplay
A rotating behind-the-player court view gives NCAA Basketball its distinctive SNES look. The North American version uses college teams from the ACC, Big East, Big 8, SEC, and SWC, with Exhibition games, Season play, saved progress, team statistics, and a path toward the NCAA Tournament and Final Four.
Controls And Mechanics
- Offense uses passing, jump shots, timed releases, dunk choices near the basket, play selection, substitutions, and time-outs.
- Defense includes switching defenders, steals, blocks, rebounds, zone or man-to-man schemes, and pressure defense.
- Rules include fouls, free throws, violations, a 45-second shot clock, player condition, and disqualification after too many personal fouls.
- Two-player play is head-to-head Exhibition basketball.
Version Notes
This is the North American Revision A SNES release titled NCAA Basketball. The European version was titled World League Basketball, while Japan received Super Dunk Shot.
