Overview and Gameplay

Late-inning pressure is the hook in Relief Pitcher, a SNES baseball conversion of Atari Games’ 1992 arcade title. Players can start a full nine-inning game or enter relief situations, choosing from fictional teams such as the Boston Bashers, Houston Dusters, Los Angeles Speeders, and Chicago Strokers.

Controls And Mechanics

  • Pitching: Choose pitch location, use fastballs, curveballs, and a selected special pitch, then time the pitch meter.
  • Batting: Aim high or low, swing for power, take a regular swing, or bunt.
  • Fielding: Fielders move toward the ball automatically, while the player chooses throws and base targets.
  • Multiplayer: Two players compete head-to-head in full-game or relief-series baseball.

Version Notes

This is the North American SNES release. The h1C catalog note refers to internal cartridge information and does not describe a separate gameplay mode.
