Overview and Gameplay

RHI Roller Hockey ’95 turns the short-lived Roller Hockey International license into a SNES team sports game played on inline skates instead of ice. The goal is familiar hockey: control a squad, move the puck, and outscore the opponent before time expires.

Matches use four skaters plus goalies, three-period games, and selectable period lengths. Modes include a single match, short season, and playoffs.

Controls And Mechanics

  • Skaters move around the rink, pass, shoot, defend, and try to create scoring chances.
  • RHI-style rules change the feel from ice hockey, including four skaters and no blue-line structure.
  • Two-player support is available for direct multiplayer hockey play.
  • Penalties and illegal clearing add stoppages and risk to defensive play.

Version Notes

This is an unreleased USA SNES prototype rather than a normal retail cartridge. The no-good-dump and h2c labels are preservation notes for the circulating build, not public title branding.

Release And Credits

  • Prototype file release year: 1995.
  • Developed by Radical Entertainment.
  • Licensed from Roller Hockey International.
  • Alternate rating title: RHI: Roller Hockey ’95.
