Overview and Gameplay
Los Gatos Bandidos kidnap Speedy’s mouse friends during a fiesta, leaving Slowpoke Rodriguez to call for help. Speedy Gonzales: Los Gatos Bandidos is a fast side-scrolling SNES platformer where Speedy runs, jumps, kicks enemies, collects cheese, and frees captured mice.
The adventure moves through seven themed areas, with hazards, cages, bosses, lives, continues, score bonuses, and replayable completed levels on the map.
Controls And Mechanics
- Speedy can look around, jump higher by holding the jump button, and kick enemies on the ground or in midair.
- Cheese adds points, and every 100 pieces awards an extra life.
- Freeing every mouse in a section grants bonus points and an extra continue.
- Magic Shoes temporarily boost Speedy’s speed.
- The game is single-player only.
Version Notes
This is the USA Rev 1 SNES release. The European version was canceled outside prototype circulation, and this release is not a hack, translation, bootleg, or multicart.
