Overview and Gameplay
This compilation places Sonic Advance and ChuChu Rocket! on one cartridge. Sonic Advance follows Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy through side-scrolling zones filled with rings, enemies, item boxes, checkpoints, and boss battles. Each character has distinct movement abilities, while Special Stages award Chaos Emeralds.
ChuChu Rocket! tasks players with placing directional arrows to guide ChuChus into rockets while diverting KapuKapu cats. Puzzle mode uses limited arrows, Stage Challenge sets timed objectives, and battle modes score captured ChuChus.
Controls And Mechanics
In Sonic Advance, the directional pad moves the character, A jumps and activates aerial abilities, and B performs character-specific attacks. Rings absorb one hit, while damage without rings costs a try.
ChuChu Rocket! uses the directional pad to move a cursor and buttons to place or rotate arrow panels. Only three arrows can remain active, and placing another removes the oldest. Link-cable modes support up to four participants in Sonic races, ring contests, Chao hunts, free-for-all ChuChu battles, and team battles.
Version Notes
The European cartridge includes English, Japanese, French, German, and Spanish text. ChuChu Rocket! is the Game Boy Advance adaptation with portable multiplayer, puzzle collections, stage creation, and character editing.
