Overview and Gameplay
Avatar: The Last Airbender follows Aang as he searches for the missing Waterbender Hiryu and investigates machines created by Lian. The journey crosses the North Pole, Omashu, Four Paws Island, and a Fire Nation fortress. Aang, Sokka, and Katara travel as a party, and puzzles require their different abilities to move containers, strike distant switches, redirect water, form ice bridges, and operate air vents. Scrolls and treasure chests unlock new skills and upgrades.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves the active character and guides abilities. A handles context actions and secondary skills, while B performs attacks or primary bending techniques. L selects Katara, R selects Sokka, and Select switches characters when the party separates.
Each character has health and a regenerating chi meter. Attacks and special abilities consume chi, while healing leaves restore health and green potions extend the health meter. Katara can heal the full party when all three chi meters are charged and the group is together. Save Stones record progress and restore health.
Version Notes
This Game Boy Advance adaptation uses diagonal 2D areas, a three-character party, and skill-based environmental puzzles. European and Australian releases use the title Avatar: The Legend of Aang.
