Overview and Gameplay
Hot Wheels: Stunt Track Challenge casts the driver as a contestant in a televised racing competition. Game Show mode spans six themed environments, each containing three stunt challenges and two championship races. Clearing events unlocks cars, tracks, and later stages, while completing all 30 events opens the Champions League.
Arcade mode includes Quick Race, Check Point Challenge, and Test Track. Stunt School teaches driving and airborne techniques through sequential lessons.
Controls And Mechanics
Cars steer, accelerate, and brake on the track, then perform barrel rolls, flips, air poses, and saucer turns after leaving ramps. Successful tricks award points and fill the boost meter. Activating a full meter temporarily increases top speed, while crashing during an unfinished stunt removes the stored boost and returns the car to the course with a time penalty.
Power-ups can repel opponents, pull nearby cars closer, block magnetic effects, improve stunt handling, or fill the boost meter. Two-player mode uses alternating turns on one system, with Timed Race rewarding the fastest total time and Points Race rewarding the highest stunt score.
Version Notes
The Game Boy Advance edition uses password-based progression, button-driven airborne tricks, and pass-the-system competitive play.
