Overview and Gameplay
Yoh Asakura pursues Zeke after the Spirit of Fire consumes the souls of people gathered near Dobie Village. The world map connects side-view stages across forests, swamps, factories, mines, volcanic areas, and the Star Sanctuary. Yoh explores branching routes, defeats bosses, rescues allies, and revisits earlier areas after gaining spirits that cross water, break barriers, move obstacles, or reach distant platforms.
Guardian Ghosts, equipment, Magatama Beads, Tome rewards, Books of Learning, and EX-items expand Yoh’s abilities. Training Mode provides timed rematches against defeated bosses and other characters, while the Card Viewer displays earned pictures. Completing the adventure unlocks a Jukebox for collected music and voice material.
Controls And Mechanics
Yoh runs, crouches, jumps, drops through suitable platforms, and attacks with his sword. Spirits assigned to the left and right slots activate attacks, defense, healing, movement, or environmental powers. Active abilities consume SP, and prepared spirit decks can be switched during stages.
Coins buy healing items and supplies at the Patch Works shop. Some spirit techniques consume leaves, pebbles, dolls, or horns. Completion Rate records cleared content and collected material, while Training battles use target times. Losing all health ends the current attempt; saving is available from the world map.
