Overview and Gameplay

Dr. Gangrene threatens San Zucchini with his Doomsday Tomato, leaving Chad Finletter to cross dark streets, sewers, and a tomato-packing factory on the way to the villain’s hideout. This licensed NES platformer draws from the animated television series and was created specifically for the console rather than ported from the earlier computer game.

Chad defeats most tomato enemies by jumping on them, avoids environmental hazards, and navigates branching side-view maze areas. Large tomatoes may split into smaller seedlings, while encounters with the Gang of Six focus on dodging and recognizing attack patterns.
