Overview and Gameplay
Win at least 75 games across a 130-game season to capture a division pennant and reach the World Series. Bases Loaded II: Second Season uses 12 fictional teams split between Eastern and Western divisions, with passwords preserving season progress.
Play shifts between a close pitcher-batter view and an angled overhead fielding view. Lineups can be adjusted before games, while changing Physical, Sensitivity, and Intellectual ratings influence player form, including hitting, control, stamina, and breaking pitches.
Controls And Mechanics
- Batting: Aim with the directional pad, swing or bunt with A, and start runners for hit-and-run plays.
- Pitching: Use the directional pad with A to choose the initial pitch direction, then add horizontal or vertical break during delivery.
- Fielding: Move the selected fielder with the directional pad, use B to jump or dive, and combine a direction with A to throw to a base.
- Baserunning: Combine directions with B to advance runners or A to send them back.
- Two players: Head-to-head play is simultaneous, with each player controlling a team.
A nine-run lead after the fifth inning triggers the mercy rule.
