Overview and Gameplay
Choose one of twelve fictional city teams and guide it through exhibition play or a 130-game season. Reaching 70 wins secures the division pennant and opens the best-of-seven Super Series, while passwords preserve season progress. Bases Loaded 4 mixes fast baseball action with lineup changes, pitcher selection, substitutions, and a large fielding radar.
Controls And Mechanics
- Use the directional pad to position batters, aim pitches, move fielders, and select bases.
- A handles swings, throws, runner returns, and pitch windups; B is used for bunts, jumps, dives, steals, advances, and pickoff attempts.
- White stars reward strong plays and improve performance, while black stars reflect mistakes. Opposite colors cancel, and all stars reset after each game.
- Exhibition supports local two-player versus play. The regular season is single-player only.
Version Notes
This North American release localizes the 1991 Famicom game Moe-Pro! Saikyō Hen. It arrived later, uses different cartridge audio hardware, and omits the Japanese version’s extended staff portrait ending.
