Overview and Gameplay
Ares grants wings to two warriors who must battle through five stages to protect humanity. Legendary Wings combines vertically scrolling aerial combat with side-scrolling palace and danger areas. Players shoot airborne enemies, bombard ground targets, defeat dragons, and destroy mechanical bosses.
Hidden Lucky areas provide bonus points, power-ups, and hearts that add continues. Weapon upgrades progress from twin shots and penetrating beams to spread fire and the powerful Firebird form. Taking damage usually lowers the current weapon level, while crushing hazards can defeat the warrior immediately.
