Overview and Gameplay

Deep beneath the surface of planet Zebes, a lone bounty hunter infiltrates an alien stronghold to destroy the Metroid lifeform before it can be weaponized. Progress unfolds through a sprawling, interconnected world where exploration and discovery drive advancement. New areas open only after acquiring abilities that reshape movement and combat, while powerful guardians block access to deeper zones and the core threat known as Mother Brain.

The experience centers on searching hidden passages, collecting upgrades, and gradually becoming stronger while navigating hostile environments filled with alien creatures and environmental hazards.
