Overview and Gameplay

Mobile Suit Z Gundam: Hot Scramble follows the Zeta Gundam through combat missions inspired by the Gryps Conflict. Stages begin with first-person flight over ground and through space, where enemy mobile suits and warships must be destroyed. Later sections switch to a side view inside colonies, asteroid bases, and battleships. These fortress stages require locating the reactor room and destroying the energy core while navigating barriers, turrets, and enemy units.

Controls And Mechanics

The directional pad steers during flight and moves Zeta Gundam through fortress interiors. The beam rifle destroys enemies and reactors. In first-person stages, acceleration changes forward speed. During side-view stages, the action button jumps and can transform Zeta Gundam into Waverider form for faster movement. ENERGY functions as the life gauge, while energy packs restore damage. Power Shield and Power Rifle items improve defense and weapon strength. Destroying enemies raises the score, and remaining ENERGY can award bonus points after a reactor is destroyed.

Version Notes

This is the standard retail edition, which includes both first-person combat and side-view fortress stages. The limited Hot Scramble: Final Version uses a different first-person-focused structure.
