Overview and Gameplay
A stolen mission drives Silk, a professional thief forced into action after his girlfriend is kidnapped and held hostage. To get her back, he must retrieve sacred relics across multiple regions while fighting through enemy-filled stages. The experience blends side-view platforming with close combat and ranged attacks, structured around screen-by-screen progression rather than smooth scrolling environments.
Stages feature combat encounters, environmental hazards, and boss fights at key points. Enemies can drop health restoration, ammunition, and temporary defensive items that change how encounters are handled. Progress is tracked through a password system, allowing continuation between stages.
Controls And Mechanics
- Movement across platforms and ladders with wall interaction for climbing
- Jumping used for traversal and positioning in combat
- Close-range attacks combined with a slide-style strike for low movement engagement
- Limited ammunition ranged weapon for distant targets
- Pickups restore health, provide ammo, or grant temporary protection
- Six-stage structure with boss encounters at stage conclusions
Version Notes
This release represents a USA prototype build of an unreleased localization. The game is based on the manga character Kaitou Sugar, renamed Silk in the English version. It was developed for a planned commercial release that was ultimately not published in North America.
