Overview and Gameplay
Bowser’s Koopalings steal magical wands from the Mushroom World’s kings, transforming each ruler into different creatures. Mario and Luigi travel across themed kingdoms, clearing stages, restoring the kings, and pushing toward Bowser’s airship stronghold.
Progress unfolds through an overworld map with branching paths, fortresses, airships, and optional mini-games. Each stage combines platforming challenges with hidden routes, power-up management, and score-based rewards.
Controls And Mechanics
- Running, jumping, and attacking through directional movement and action inputs
- Power-ups such as Super Leaf, Fire Flower, Frog Suit, and Tanooki Suit change movement and combat options
- World map items allow bypassing stages or triggering special effects
- Collectible cards at stage exits grant bonus lives when matched
- Two players alternate turns, with optional competitive map encounters between stages
