Overview and Gameplay
Titanic follows Jack or Rose through a side-scrolling escape from the sinking ship. This Chinese unlicensed NES/Famicom platformer is based on the disaster-film version of the story, turning the liner into a sequence of boiler rooms, corridors, deck hazards, and a final swim through the freezing ocean.
The player chooses a character, avoids traps and enemies, climbs through damaged ship interiors, collects extra-life items, and reaches the exit of each stage. Progression is built around timing jumps, ledge climbing, rising water, key collection, moving platforms, and environmental hazards rather than direct combat.
Controls And Mechanics
- The directional pad moves the character and is used for climbing interactions.
- Jumping and ledge timing are central to clearing platforms and escape routes.
- The player has a three-heart life meter.
- Small heart items build toward an extra life, while special jewel-style items grant one immediately.
- Continues restart the current level, keeping the focus on clearing each short hazard course.
