Overview and Gameplay
Transformers: Mystery of Convoy follows Ultra Magnus after Convoy’s death, sending the new Autobot commander against the Decepticons. Ten stages alternate between horizontal and vertical scrolling, with a boss waiting at each exit. Ultra Magnus can switch between robot and trailer forms to handle different terrain and enemy positions. Hidden Starscream encounters can open warps to later stages, while collecting the letters in RODIMUS unlocks a second run as Rodimus Convoy.
Controls And Mechanics
Robot form can jump and fire forward. Trailer form stays low, fires a stronger forward shot, and can attack enemies above. Contact with an enemy or projectile costs one life immediately. Hidden Energon Cubes grant temporary weapon upgrades, invincibility, extra lives, or score bonuses, usually lasting only through the current stage. Stage 9 uses a looping maze that requires the correct checkpoint route. In the two-player mode, players alternate whenever the active player loses a life.
