Overview and Gameplay
Illegal motorcycle racing goes worldwide in Road Rash 3, a Sega Genesis entry that sends riders through Brazil, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Kenya, Australia, and Japan. The goal is to place high enough in each race to advance through five levels while surviving traffic, police, rival racers, crashes, and repair bills.
The core loop mixes racing with hand-to-hand combat. Prize money pays for stronger bikes and upgrades, while fines and damage can drain your cash. Weapons, nitro-equipped bikes, aggressive opponents, animals, sharp turns, hills, and different traffic patterns give each country its own hazards.
Controls And Mechanics
- Steering and movement: guide the bike on the road, then run back to it after a crash.
- Racing: accelerate, brake, and use nitro bursts on bikes that support them.
- Combat: punch, kick, swing weapons, and keep a weapon between races when finishing with it.
- Multiplayer: includes solo play, take-turns play, split-screen racing, and Mano a Mano versus.
