Overview and Gameplay
Alfred Chicken sends a bionic-beaked chicken after the Meka-Chickens, who have kidnapped Billy Egg, his brothers, and Floella. This European SNES release is a side-scrolling platformer built around 21 transdimensional levels, room exploration, switches, doors, diamonds, balloons, and boss encounters.
Each level is cleared by finding and releasing the Mr. Pekles Balloon, while smaller balloons act as restart points after a lost life.
Controls And Mechanics
- Alfred moves, jumps, pecks downward, enters doors, and can shoot when powered for it.
- Diamonds add score, and collecting 100 awards an extra life.
- On/off blocks, springs, ice, secret rooms, clocks, invincibility presents, and watering cans shape exploration.
- The game is single-player only.
Version Notes
This European PAL release is titled Alfred Chicken. The North American SNES version is titled Super Alfred Chicken.
