Overview and Gameplay
Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong have vanished, so Dixie Kong teams with Kiddy Kong to search the Northern Kremisphere and confront the Kremling Krew. This third SNES entry keeps the series’ side-scrolling platforming while adding stronger world-map exploration, Brothers Bear tasks, more collectibles, and varied vehicle and animal-buddy stages.
Players clear levels, find bonus rooms, collect K-O-N-G letters, earn Bonus Coins and Bear Coins, visit map locations, and advance toward boss battles across the region.
Controls And Mechanics
- Dixie can spin her ponytail to attack and slow her descent.
- Kiddy is larger and stronger, with a rolling attack and team-up uses built around his size.
- The team-up move lets one Kong throw the other to reach items, attack enemies, or solve stage situations.
- Animal buddies, barrels, bonus stages, water vehicles, and map shops expand the usual platform action.
- Two-player play is alternating, with players taking turns rather than moving together at the same time.
Version Notes
This is the European PAL SNES release. The Japanese version was titled Super Donkey Kong 3: Nazo no Krems Shima.
