Overview and Gameplay
Dali Llama invites animal martial artists to Brutal Island, where the winner earns the Belt of Heaven. Brutal: Paws of Fury is a one-on-one SNES fighting game with cartoon animal fighters and tournament-style progression.
Players choose from fighters such as Kung-Fu Bunny, Prince Leon, Rhei Rat, Tai Cheetah, Kendo Coyote, Foxy Roxy, and Ivan the Bear. Matches are round-based, with punches, kicks, blocks, jumps, reach attacks, aerial attacks, and character-specific techniques used to defeat each opponent.
Controls And Mechanics
- Fighters can move, crouch, jump, block, and use light, medium, and hard punches and kicks.
- Holding a direction with an attack changes the move into reach, roundhouse, or aerial attacks depending on position.
- The console versions teach special moves after successful fights, and passwords help preserve learned progress.
- The game supports single-player tournament play and two-player versus matches.
