Overview and Gameplay
Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan, and other Dragon Ball Z fighters battle through story and versus modes in the first Super Butouden game. The story covers major fights from the earlier Dragon Ball Z arcs through the Cell Games.
Combat uses one-on-one 2D fighting with punches, kicks, energy attacks, flight, dashes, and character-specific special moves. A split-screen distance system appears when fighters move far apart, letting battles stretch beyond a single shared view.
Controls And Mechanics
- Fighters use movement, punch, kick, Bukujutsu flight, special attacks, and left or right dash actions.
- Special moves use directional commands combined with attack buttons.
- Modes include story battles, versus fights, and tournament play with multiple participants.
- Two-player mode is versus fighting, not co-op.
