Overview and Gameplay
The 00 cyborg team is sent into action after strange incidents threaten the world. Cyborg 009 is a side-scrolling action platformer based on Shotaro Ishinomori’s manga, built around selecting a three-member squad before each mission.
Only one cyborg is controlled at a time, but the player can switch between squad members during stages. Each character has different movement or combat abilities, making team choice important for terrain, enemies, and obstacles.
Controls And Mechanics
- The directional pad moves characters and navigates stages.
- Y shoots, B jumps, and A or X uses character special powers.
- L and R switch between the selected cyborgs.
- Special powers use SP, while HP and SP are shared by the active squad.
- The game has five missions, each ending with a boss fight, and is single-player only.
