Overview and Gameplay

A fictional golf course of volcanoes, ruins, cliffs, water, sand, and impossible terrain replaces the real-world links used in earlier T&E Soft golf games. Devil’s Course is the Japanese Super Famicom version of the game later known internationally as True Golf Classics: Wicked 18.

Play follows traditional golf rules, but the course design makes every hole a course-management problem. Players choose direction, club, stance, shot power, and impact point while reading wind, lie, yardage, terrain, and green conditions.

Controls And Mechanics

  • Use the course map, caddie advice, wind display, and green view to plan each shot.
  • Shot timing uses a power meter, then an impact-point choice that affects height, roll, backspin, hook, and slice.
  • Modes include Tournament, Stroke Play, Skins Match, Match Play, and Training.
  • Multiplayer is turn-based golf, with human players taking shots one at a time in supported modes.

Version Notes

This Japanese release is titled New 3D Golf Simulation: Devil’s Course. The same game is also known as True Golf Classics: Wicked 18, Valora Valley Golf, and The Hyper Golf: Devil’s Course.
