Overview and Gameplay
Main turns a ruined Earth into a battle arena, forcing the Doom Squad to fight until one rebel warrior reaches her. Doomsday Warrior is the USA SNES version of the Japanese fighting game Taiketsu!! Brass Numbers.
The player chooses one of seven fighters and battles the rest of the roster before facing the final opponents. Matches use one-on-one fighting with punches, kicks, jumps, blocking, throws, and character-specific special moves.
Controls And Mechanics
- The game uses a dedicated jump button and block buttons, giving it a different feel from many other 16-bit fighters.
- One-player wins award bonus points that can improve arm power, leg power, defense, vitality, and soul power.
- Passwords preserve upgraded characters for later use.
- Two-player mode is competitive versus play, not co-op.
Version Notes
This USA release is titled Doomsday Warrior. The original Japanese Super Famicom version is titled Taiketsu!! Brass Numbers.
