Overview and Gameplay

Harry Jr. enters Mayan jungles and ruins after the evil spirit Zakelua captures his father, the original Pitfall Harry. Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure is a 2D action-platformer with animated hazards, treasure routes, and a direct link back to Activision’s classic explorer series.

Across 13 side-scrolling levels, players run, jump, climb, crawl, swing on vines, ride mine carts, avoid traps, and fight enemies through rainforests, waterfalls, mines, temples, and ruins. The adventure tracks health, lives, score, weapons, and treasure, with hidden bonus areas and a playable original-style Pitfall! challenge.

  • Harry Jr. can move, run, crawl, climb, push, pull, look, and aim weapons.
  • Weapons include sling stones, a charged Super Shot, whip sling, boomerang, and exploding stones.
