Overview and Gameplay
Ronaldinho Soccer 97 turns Konami’s International Superstar Soccer Deluxe into an unofficial Brazilian and South American-flavored soccer hack. It keeps the arcade match engine while changing teams, presentation, and text for a bootleg club-soccer style.
Matches focus on quick passing, lobs, shots, tackles, sprinting, player switching, and tactical changes. The goal is straightforward: control your side, create chances, and outscore the opponent within the match timer.
Controls And Mechanics
- The directions move players and aim passes, lobs, shots, tackles, and headers.
- b handles passing or foot tackles, a handles lobs and header passes, x shoots or slide tackles, and y makes players run.
- Two-player mode is simultaneous versus soccer. It is competitive play, not co-op.
Version Notes
This is an unlicensed SNES hack by Twin Eagles Group based on International Superstar Soccer Deluxe. Konami created the original base game, but this release is not an official Konami cartridge.
