Overview and Gameplay
Jake Armitage wakes in a morgue with no memory and a bullet wound, then has to survive a 2050 Seattle where megacorps, street gangs, magic, cyberware, and dragons share the same shadows. Shadowrun blends a cyberpunk RPG setting with point-and-click-style investigation and real-time combat.
Players search locations, question characters, collect keywords, hire runners, upgrade Jake with Karma, buy weapons and armor, cast spells, and enter the Matrix to break into computer systems. Progress comes from solving dialogue and item puzzles as much as winning fights.
