Overview and Gameplay
Near-future Tokyo becomes a demon battlefield in Majin Tensei, an Atlus tactical RPG spin-off from the Megami Tensei line. The player commands human characters and summoned demons across grid-based maps, clearing scenario battles and advancing through a devastated city.
Combat is turn-based, with units moving, attacking, casting magic, using items, and summoning demons through the COMP system. Battles can shift into separate combat scenes when units clash, while victory brings resources and progress on the world map.
Controls And Mechanics
- Commands are selected with a cursor-driven menu system.
- Summoned demons can fight beside the hero or return to the COMP.
- Demon fusion can create stronger allies, limited by the hero’s level and map conditions.
- Magnetite is consumed when allied demons move, making resource management important.
- This version is single-player only.
