Overview and Gameplay
Six heroes stand at the center of Seiken Densetsu 3: the player chooses one lead and two companions, changing the opening, rival factions, and story route. This Super Famicom action RPG later became officially known in English as Trials of Mana.
The adventure follows the fading Mana Tree, the Mana Stones, and the release of the Benevodons. Players explore towns and dungeons, fight in real time, buy equipment, level up, use magic and items through Ring Commands, and branch characters through light and dark class changes.
Controls And Mechanics
- Directions move the party leader and navigate menus.
- A attacks, talks, inspects, and confirms choices.
- B uses techs, dashes, and cancels commands.
- X opens Ring Commands, while Y opens the main status/menu screen.
- L and R switch ally control or ally menu focus, and Select changes the controlled leader.
- Two-player co-op is simultaneous once the party has more than one character; it is not versus or alternating play.
Version Notes
This build uses the Japanese Super Famicom game with the Neill Corlett, Lina`chan, Nuku-nuku, and SoM2Freak English fan translation v1.01 plus an unofficial bug-fix patch. It is not the official Collection of Mana localization or the 2020 remake.
